Who are they and what do they want?

I have written about several of the global think tanks, like the United Nations, the Round Table and the Bilderberg Group but I have never researched and written about The Club of Rome, so here goes….
The Club of Rome is a non-profit, informal organisation of intellectuals and business leaders whose goal is to solve the global problems, which they have identified.
It was founded in 1968. There are one hundred full members selected from current and former heads of state and government, UN administrators, high-level politicians and government officials, diplomats, scientists, economists, and business leaders from around the world.

Who founded this think tank and why?
The Club of Rome was founded at Accademia dei Lincei in Rome, Italy in April 1968 by Aurelio Peccei, an Italian industrialist, and Alexander King, Director-General for Scientific Affairs at the OECD. It was initiated as the result of a meeting between a small international group of people from the fields of academia, civil society, diplomacy and industry who met at Villa Farnesina in Rome, but since 2008 it operates from Winterthur, near Zurich in Switzerland.
The Farnese family, who once owned the Villa Farnesina, is Black Nobility. The villa became the property of the Farnese in 1577 (hence the name of Farnesina). Also in the 16th century, Michelangelo proposed linking the Palazzo Farnese on the other side of the River Tiber, where he was working, to the Villa Farnesina with a private bridge. This was initiated, remnants of a few arches are in fact still visible in the back of Palazzo Farnese towards via Giulia on the other side of the Tiber, but was never completed.
Later the villa belonged to another Black Nobility family, the Bourbons of Naples and in 1861 to the Spanish Ambassador in Rome, Bermudez de Castro, Duke of Ripalta. Today, owned by the Italian State, it accommodates the Accademia dei Lincei, a long-standing Roman academy of sciences.
The appointed team of academics got off to a cracking start and by 1972 they had produced a book, entitled The Limits to Growth and then in 1973, a corresponding TV film loaded with their propaganda.
You have to hear this to believe it.

"One of the biggest frauds the Club of Rome ever sponsored was a book entitled The Limits to Growth penned in 1972 by a pair of pseudoscientists named Meadows. It attempted to show how the world would 'crash' as it came upon its hard limits of oil, food and other resources. It used a method known as System Dynamics ("SD") created at MIT by a scientist named Jay W. Forrester. While SD is a good method (I have used it in my graduate studies) it is crucial that the inputs be good, the equations be written well, and that the model be sound. Unfortunately, the Limits to Growth model failed in all of these categories. Hence, as ‘they’ say, garbage in, garbage out. Now many have tried to use the Limits to Growth to push various agenda, most frequently it has been used by environmentalist wackos to push for limits on this or that so that the world does not 'crash'. In my humble double doctorate opinion, I think the Club of Rome has attempted to publish this rubbish as a tool to gain control of industrial production for its own sinister purposes. It is rubbish and the world needs to know this. The book was most recently resurrected during the oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico and is now being used as propaganda for limiting drilling and conversion to alternative energy sources. We cannot afford to this Limits to Growth hysteria the Club of Rome is pushing. Beware of this rubbish." ~ Anonymous comment found on Truth Control Forum.

In 1991, the club published The First Global Revolution. It analyses the problems of humanity, calling these collectively or in essence the "problematique". It notes that, historically, social or political unity has commonly been motivated by enemies in common: "The need for enemies seems to be a common historical factor. Some states have striven to overcome domestic failure and internal contradictions by blaming external enemies. The ploy of finding a scapegoat is as old as mankind itself—when things become too difficult at home, divert attention to adventure abroad. Bring the divided nation together to face an outside enemy, either a real one, or else one invented for the purpose. With the disappearance of the traditional enemy, the temptation is to use religious or ethnic minorities as scapegoats, especially those whose differences from the majority are disturbing."
"Every state has been so used to classifying its neighbours as friend or foe, that the sudden absence of traditional adversaries has left governments and public opinion with a great void to fill. New enemies have to be identified, new strategies imagined, and new weapons devised."
"In searching for a common enemy against whom we can unite, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like, would fit the bill. In their totality and their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which must be confronted by everyone together. But in designating these dangers as the enemy, we fall into the trap, which we have already warned readers about, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then is humanity itself."
Let me reiterate that little sentence because this is their sincere belief:
”The real enemy then is humanity itself.”
In 2001 the Club of Rome established a new sub think tank, called tt30, consisting of about 30 men and women, ages 25–35. It aims to identify and solve problems in the world, from the perspective of youth….
